All the details about your upcoming adventure in one place
A private Blue Cave tour from Split is the gold standard for exploring the Dalmatian archipelago. Unlike crowded group excursions, a private charter grants you the freedom to set your own pace across five iconic islands: Biševo, Vis, Ravnik, Budikovac, and Hvar. Your journey centers on the world-renowned Blue Cave (Modra špilja), where sunlight reflects through the underwater floor to bathe the cavern in an ethereal aquamarine glow. Beyond the cave, you'll navigate to the hidden Stiniva Cove—voted Europe's best beach—stroll through the historic fishing village of Komiža, and enjoy a long lunch in the glamorous Hvar Town. With a professional skipper at the helm of a high-performance speedboat, you can bypass the 'standard' routes and find secluded lagoons for swimming and snorkeling in total privacy.

Real experiences from real travelers
Booking a private tour was the best decision we made in Split. Our skipper, Ivan, was incredible and took us to a secret beach on Vis before the crowds arrived. The Blue Cave is magical, but having the boat to ourselves for the rest of the day was the real highlight.
The boat was immaculate and very fast. We loved the flexibility—we stayed longer in Hvar for lunch and skipped one of the busier swimming spots. Booking through the platform was seamless and the instant confirmation was great for our last-minute trip.
The Blue Cave itself is a short visit, but the 5-island tour makes it a full experience. Stiniva Cove is a must-see. The boat ride can be a bit choppy, so be prepared if you get seasick, but the crew was very attentive.
We booked a luxury private tour for our anniversary. The skipper brought us some local wine and the sunset on the way back to Split was breathtaking. Highly recommend for couples wanting a romantic day.
As a sailor myself, I was impressed with the quality of the RIB and the skipper's handling of the sea. Very professional operation. The Blue Cave was busy, but our skipper managed the ticket process perfectly.
Visiting the filming locations from Mamma Mia 2 in Komiža was a dream come true. Our guide knew all the spots. The water at Budikovac is the clearest I've ever seen. Perfect day!
Don't bother with the big group boats. Go private. You get to choose the music, the stops, and the pace. We spent 2 hours just swimming at the Blue Lagoon. Pure bliss.
The Blue Cave lived up to the hype. The turquoise color is unreal. The booking process was easy and we were picked up right in front of our hotel in Split. Top notch service.
Everything you need to know for your journey
Typically, the Blue Cave entrance fee is NOT included in the base price of the private charter and is paid on-site (approx. €12-€18 depending on the season). However, some premium packages may include it; always check your specific tour details.
Safety is paramount. If the south wind (Jugo) is too strong, the cave entrance becomes inaccessible. In such cases, your skipper will offer an alternative itinerary focusing on other islands or you can often reschedule/request a refund through the booking platform.
Due to high demand and strict regulations, the stay inside the cave is limited to about 10-15 minutes. You will transfer from your speedboat to a smaller wooden boat operated by the concessionaire to enter the cave.
Yes! This is the primary benefit of a private tour. While there is a 'best' route for timing the cave light, you can discuss with your skipper if you want to spend more time in Hvar Town or find a quiet bay for swimming.
Most private operators provide high-quality masks and snorkels for guests. Some also provide fins and waterproof bags for your belongings. This is usually listed under 'What's Included'.
We recommend bringing a swimsuit, a high-SPF sunscreen, a hat, sunglasses, a towel, and a lightweight windbreaker for the boat ride. Don't forget some cash for the cave entrance and lunch in Hvar.
Speedboats are generally more stable than smaller boats, but the open sea can be choppy. If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking preventative medication 30 minutes before departure and sitting toward the back of the boat.
Most tours depart from the Riva (main promenade) or Matejuška pier. Because it's a private tour, many operators can arrange a pickup closer to your accommodation if it has water access.
Lunch is generally not included to allow you the freedom to choose your own dining experience in Hvar or Komiža. Your skipper can recommend the best local restaurants and even make a reservation for you.
