The Blue Cave was even more stunning in person than in the photos. The speedboat was fast and fun, and our skipper, Mario, knew exactly when to arrive at each spot to avoid the biggest crowds. Stiniva Cove was a highlight!
Booked the 5-island tour and it was worth every penny. The Blue Cave is a natural wonder. The snorkeling at Budikovac was the clearest water I've ever seen. Great value for an 8-hour trip.
Very easy to find the meeting point in Hvar. The boat was comfortable and clean. The wait for the Blue Cave was about 45 minutes, but the skipper took us to a nearby cove to swim while we waited for our ticket number. Highly recommend.
We did the private tour for our anniversary. It was amazing to have the flexibility to stay longer at the Pakleni Islands for lunch. The skipper was very professional and the cave was breathtaking.
You can't come to Hvar and not see the Blue Cave. The speedboat ride itself is an adventure. Snorkeling gear was in good condition and the 5-island itinerary is perfectly paced.
The caves are beautiful, but be prepared for a long day on the water. Bring plenty of sunscreen! The crew was very helpful and the 'Mamma Mia' filming locations in Komiža were a nice touch.
The color of the water inside the cave is something I will never forget. Our guide explained the science behind the glow. Very professional service from start to finish.
Fast boat, great music, and incredible scenery. Stiniva Beach is a bit crowded but so beautiful. The Blue Cave is the star of the show. 10/10!
Everything you need to know for your journey
The best time to see the brilliant blue glow is between 11:00 AM and 2:00 PM when the sun is at the optimal angle to reflect off the sandy floor. Most tours are timed to arrive during this window.
Usually, the cave entry fee (approx. €12-€18 depending on season) is NOT included in the tour price and must be paid in cash at the Biševo ticket office. Check your specific booking details as some premium tours may include it.
The cave can close due to high south winds (Jugo) which make the entrance dangerous. If this happens, your skipper will usually offer an alternative itinerary with more swimming stops, or you can often reschedule or receive a refund through our partner platforms.
Due to high demand and the small size of the cave, the actual time inside on the official shuttle boat is approximately 5 to 10 minutes. This is strictly regulated by the local port authority.
No, swimming inside the Blue Cave is strictly prohibited by law to protect the delicate ecosystem and for visitor safety. However, you will have plenty of swimming opportunities at the Green Cave and Stiniva Cove.
Most 11-meter speedboats do not have onboard toilets. However, itineraries include frequent stops at islands like Vis (Komiža) and the Pakleni Islands where public facilities and restaurants are readily available.
If you are prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking a preventative tablet 30 minutes before departure and sitting toward the back of the boat where the ride is more stable. Private tours on larger yachts are also a smoother option.
Lunch is typically not included in the base price, but skippers always stop at islands with excellent waterfront restaurants, particularly in Komiža or on the Pakleni Islands. You are also welcome to bring your own snacks and drinks.
Yes, children are welcome, but please note that speedboat rides can be bumpy. We recommend the tour for children aged 4 and up. Life jackets for children are provided by all our partner operators.
